ROGUE RIVER, OR — Wagner Meters released its new online Service Temperature Estimator webApp, an RH tool which offers fast, simple estimates of RH at service conditions from concrete at non-service conditions, according to a press release.

“Now flooring experts and general contractors can access vital information to help determine realistic project deadlines and ensure compliance with the ASTMF 2170 standard for concrete slab RH measurements,” the company said in the release. “More importantly, properly conducted RH measurements will decrease the risk of moisture-related flooring problems, costly delays, callbacks and even lawsuits.”

The tool, now available for all Wagner Meters customers, requires only Internet access, the cement-to-water ration, the in-situ RH concrete measurements and the current non-service condition concrete slab temperature.

To use the new Service Temperature Estimator webApp:

2. Enter target service condition temperature, set water-to-cement ration, and enter measured non-service condition RH and slab temperature.
3. Click “calculate,” and receive estimated service condition RH.

“The big advantage of Wagner Meters’ Service Temperature Estimator webApp is that it gives project managers a quick heads-up very early on about what they can expect at service conditions,” Wagner Meters’ Rapid RH^® product sales manager Jason Spangle explained. “This is huge in terms of avoiding costly delays and putting in place any measures that may be needed to dry the floor.”

Wagner Meters emphasizes that the Service Temperature Estimator webApp is for estimation purposes only. Before installation of a finished floor on concrete slabs, the ASTM F2170 standard mandates a service condition RH test.
